Drag Queens: Pandora Boxx

I love drag queens. I'm so glad they have been getting a lot of exposure lately with a shows like "Ru Paul's Drag Race" and "Drag U." It's a really great art form and I'm really glad that it is coming to public knowledge. There are some incredible artists. One of my favorites is Pandora Boxx. Shes fabulous and hilarious. Here she is in all her glory. I wish I looked this good in fem.

Billie Joe Armstrong Smashes the Binary.

What do you mean we walked around dressed like girls? We walked around in our own clothes; they just happened to be dresses.

Johnny Weir smashes the binary.

I love Johnny Weir. Although he has gotten a lot of flack over the years for his style and for his bold personality, he is unapologetic. He dresses how he wants to, no matter who says otherwise. He wears his clothes with confidence and ultimately looks good in them. He's not afraid to wear leggings, heels, or any other clothes that some identify with the other side of the spectrum. Johnny: Keep doing what you're doing. You are an inspiration.

I especially love how wears a sarong type thing with leggings and heels in the second photo. It's very beautiful.

switching our expectations

click through for full size

what is so wrong with men in more feminine clothing? what is so wrong with a woman in more masculine clothing. i love these photos. i think they perfectly show my opinion on fashion. in both photos the two people look fashionable and stunning. there is nothing wrong about the clothes they are wearing. in fact in some cases the "non-normal" outfit looks better on them than the "normal" clothes. i appreciate the effort to switch our expectations in these photos. i only hope that our society will learn from this one day and smash the binaries of gendered clothing.

again. these photos are awesome.
